SHOWS THIS MONTH…
We are kicking off the new year with some FREE WEEK shows! Firstly, Grand Champeen is doing a gig @ Red 7 this Thursday 1/5, on a terrific bill with A Giant Dog, Wes Coleman and others. The Bremen Riot will be @ Mohawk on Sunday night 1/8. We should be going on around 11, in between The Gentleman Rogues and Broken Gold. Down the road a couple weeks, the Riot plays again @ Club DeVille with our friends Leatherbag.
After this month we’re taking a break from gigs while our bassist Alex hits the road with Craig Finn. We’ll be putting finishing touches on our debut record in the meantime and getting it ready to come out in April. Both Grand Champeen and I are working on new records of our own too, so watch for those in the coming months….

ABOUT THE RIOT…
It’s December and we’re almost finished with a full-length debut record. 95% of the tracking is done, then comes mixing and mastering. This project started with Champeen backing me at some shows, playing stuff from my solo records and a few covers. I was happy about that because I felt and still feel that they are as great a modern flat-out rock band as anyone is likely to see at any time, on any stage, anywhere.
Those shows were a lot of fun. Those guys put some serious fire under my ass and into my songs. At that time, it seemed to me that some further exploration of this combo was warranted. Since then we’ve put together a set of material unique to this band, and it’s grown into a comfortable, wicked unit that I am stoked to be a part of. It sounds and feels a bit different from both what I’ve done before and what they have done before. It’s a blast to be involved in. Thanks guys, for being up for this experiment.
